Animal cruelty is a huge problem. While most think that animal cruelty is a victimless crime, people, not just animals, are affected. We have always overlooked this issue of animal cruelty and we, Team Kibble, think it should be stopped.
According to animalcrueltyfacts.org, there are many types of animal cruelty: domestic abuse, abuse in factory farms and entertainment, and unintentional negliglence by pet owners. Animal cruelty is common throughout the world. It occurs in America, China, India, and Japan. You name it.
When we mean animal cruelty, we do not refer to the few slaps we give our pets when they bite us. In fact, it is an effective way to teach them who is the alpha dog in the house. However, what we do mean are the very extreme acts we inflict upon animals. For example, we came across a very disturbing picture on google.com of a huge dog with a collar meant for the size of a small puppy. The collar dug into his skin and caused him permanent damage. We also spotted a photo where an animal was being suffocated with poisonous truck exhaust to collect its fur. However, sometimes animals might wake up while being skinned.
Our sole purpose of this speech is not intended to gross you out with images of abused and bloody animals but to encourage you to care more about the lives at stake. Overall, we are using the resources we have, such as the gory photos, to show you how severe this is getting. This is why I am glad that you are giving me your full attention today, which is obviously the stepping stone to solving this worldwide issue.
While most think that animal cruelty is not a topic worth worrying about, we personally think that this needs to be stopped. We hope that through the course of human intervention, we can put an end to animal cruelty and create an animal abuse-free society that would benefit both the animals and ourselves. Hopefully after you hear our voice on this hot topic, you would attempt to take action.
